THE CLASSIC COUGAR NETWORK is undergoing a major renovation. When the project is completed the new site will contain much of the information from TCCN II, plus the following upgrades and changes:

  • Content will be presented in this 1KP wide-screen format to make for more efficient space utilization
  • The site incorporate a new, streamlined design scheme that brings back TCCN's classic logo
  • Content has been reorganized to simplify site navigation
  • A "YOU ARE HERE" navigation interface has been added to further simplify site navigation
  • All content carried over from TCCN II will be updated for accuracy and currency
  • Wherever possible article images will be enlarged and refurbished
  • Most .jpg format images will be replaced with sharper, clearer .png format images
  • New articles will be added to expand the depth of the site's content
  • "Overview" pages have been added to most sections
  • A site-wide index will be added to simplify finding specific content
  • Out of date and superfluous content will be removed
  • TCCN will continue to be an advertising-free zone to preserve editorial integrity

Needless to say, TCCN's renovation is going to take some time. The last revamp took eight months, and this project is much more extensive. Our goal is to have the new site completed by the summer of 2011. Because of high demand, however, TCCN will remain open during the renovation and we will add revamped sections as they are completed.
